Happy Birthday Will and Good-bye Poe

Image result for will birthday party five feet apartSorry I have not posted in a while. There has been a lot of stuff happening in the hospital lately so I have had no time to myself. First Will and I have gotten a little closer! We went on a little bit of a date recently. And I finally stole something back from Cf. One foot. From now on Will and I stay five feet apart. Good-bye to six feet. It was a lot of fun and we did not get caught. At least not that we know of. We had fun together and now know each other more. He found out that Abby was dead and made me feel a little bit better about the situation. Will, Poe, Barb, and Julia are more support team. Now the next thing on the agenda. Happy Birthday to Will! He is finally 18 and can now be in charge with what is happening. I hope he had the best surprise party ever! Poe and I came but stayed six feet apart. The table made sure of that! Mya and Camila a.k.a my two best friends came and Will's friends Hope and Jason came too! Poe made food for us all to eat and I have to say he is a pretty good cook. When Will had his birthday cake he did not blow out the candles so Poe and I could have the cake too. Hope blew them out and said she made the perfect wish. Now onto the sad stuff. When I first came to the hospital I had a little infection where one of my medicine tubes went. Overtime it got worse and worse. The doctor said that I would need to get surgery to remove it. I would have to be unconscious which was risky because my lungs are not that strong and it would be my first surgery without Abby. I was very scared about it but Will helped me not be as worried. As you can see it worked pretty well. I am alive and healthy. Now for the really sad news. Poe is dead! Right after everyone had left something went wrong with Poe. He stopped breathing. Barb tried to save him but she could not bring him back. He was going to go to Colombia and visit his family with his boyfriend. I was so sad and am still getting it over it. I hope that his parents will be able to figure out soon. We will miss you Poe. Got to go. Want to go see the Christmas lights.

Hello Everybody! I'm Stella Grant and I have CF. CF makes my lungs weaker than the normal lungs. It is harder for me to breath and there is usually a lot of mucus in my lungs. I can not be near anyone else that has CF or I will die. I also can not go near anyone with any other lung disease or I will die. New Person on the floor/in my life

Meet my new friend Will. He also has CF and B Cepacia. It is hard to get if you are healthy and usually comes for you if you have a weak immune systems or chronic lung diseases. That means that us CFer's definitely have to stay six feet apart because if we do not then we can kiss getting better or getting new lungs good-bye. I have to admit that my first impressions of Will were not that great but it turns out that he is super kind and sweet. We do our treatments together and I have taught him all my secret ways of taking pills. He agrees that taking pills with chocolate pudding is genius and yummy. I have made a plan to help Will get better if it is the last thing that I do. Which might be the last thing I do. Think positive Stella! Anyway, some more fun facts about Will is that he has been to tons of hospitals around the world. My Life is a Book so Meet my Authors

One of the three authors that turned my life into a book is Rachael Lippincott. Born in Philadelphia and raised in bucks county. This talented person has a BA in the amazing English writing. Five feet apart was her first book. She now owns a food truck with her partner. If you ever end up in Pittsburgh go to their food truck Lone Wolf Grill. Rachael hopes that this book will be able to open peoples eyes on cystic fibrosis. Another of the amazing writers that wrote about my life is Mikki Daughtry. From the warm Atlanta Georgia. Mikki graduated from Brenau University where she learned about theater and the arts. How dramatic. She is now a screenwriter in the warm and sunny LA.
